The Claim Process
Cashless Treatments
Cashless treatment lets you get admitted and treated at network hospitals without paying upfront—the insurer settles the bill directly with the hospital.
Visit a Network Hospital
Go to any hospital that is part of SBI General’s network. At the insurance help desk, show your SBI General Health Card and a valid photo ID.
Pre-Authorization Request
The hospital will confirm your identity and send a pre-authorization form to SBI General, along with the necessary medical documents.
Get Cashless Treatment
Once SBI General approves the request, you’ll be admitted and can receive treatment without having to pay hospital bills upfront (as per your policy terms).
Final claim settlement on Discharge
When you’re discharging, the hospital will send all the required bills and documents directly to SBI General for final claim settlement.
Reimbursements
Reimbursement treatment allows you to pay hospital bills yourself and later claim the expenses from SBI General Insurance.
Get Treated at Any Hospital
You can visit any hospital of your choice—even if it’s not in SBI General’s network. Pay the hospital bills directly at the time of treatment.
Collect All Original Documents
After discharge, collect all original medical documents, bills, prescriptions, discharge summary, and reports. These will be needed for your claim.
Submit Your Claim for Processing
Download the claim form from SBI General’s website or collect it from a branch. Fill it out and submit it along with the required documents to the nearest SBI General office or through the agent.
Claim Review and Settlement
SBI General will review your claim. If everything is in order, the approved amount will be reimbursed to your registered bank account.
